CONSULTATION & PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT
It is always preferred that the piece needing to be restored is assessed in the studio with the client present. However, if that's not possible photos can be emailed. Please email clear images of the item needing restoration with descriptions of the damage needing to be addressed. Be as detailed as possible in describing the damage or other issues with the item so that it will be easier it will be to determine the proper course of action. The information you provide will be reviewed and you will be contacted with an assessment and possible conservation proposal. Please note, that while we try to provide you with the closest proposal we can, but there are times when item must be inspected in person before a contract can be created. There is never a fee for an in-studio consultation, examination, or proposal.
EXAMINATION, ASSESSMENT & PROPOSAL
A full examination of the artworks will be performed, which includes the condition of the artworks and testing of the materials guiding the conservation process.
A conservation proposal will be assembled and presented to the client. The proposal will outline all the work that needs to be completed to address any issues that may be found during the examination, a time line and price. At no point will the price will never increase midway through the process regardless of any complications.
