It was an honor to paint this Bouquet of Roses in a Basket from an talented Charlotte Moss from a photo that she had taken. I love her work and am inspired by all things Charlotte Moss, her images, decor, and gorgeous books.
Prints and paintings were packed and headed to their new homes.
Afterwards, it was time to consolidate painting materials to see what needs to be reordered. While separating the linen panels, I found this little painting of tanzenias from years ago. Every once in a while, I keep a painting for some reason, as some just says "keep me". This is one of about six paintings I have decided to hold on to, but I think I just kept it to continue working on it.
It was painted in 2010 and at that time, it had been a year since I started my oil painting journey. There is a lot I've learned since then, but I still see techniques that I continue to struggle with. I continue to learn from this little 4"x6" painting.
