Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for being part of an amazing year.
Wow, 2018 was filled with so much activity. My year started with the feature on Romantic Homes Magazine (I still can't believe it). My work was sent out to 10 different US states and 5 different countries around the world.
In May, our youngest graduated from college. She is staying home while going to college, which we love. Still, it feels like we are empty nesters as her work load has increased. I don't know what I'd do if she wanted to move away.
In September, some of you may recall my work was included in Victoria Magazine's favorite things issue. Ahhhhh!!!! Yes, that's still unbelievable to me, as well.
Then the Glam Pad and This is Glamorous both honored me with their lovely posts featuring my work on their sites. How awesome is that?!
I also started teaching high school. Which was a wonderful change, but it means more work. Still I love it. This coming semester I will be teaching art history, which is my favorite topic in the world.
So, what am I looking forward to in 2019?
I'm looking forward to turning our tennis court into a cut flower/ vegetable garden. I've tried several times to start a garden and the deer always eat long before I get to enjoy it. So, I'm very excited about that. I will establish a restoration studio, instead of having to share it with my painting studio. I have a couple of home projects that I want to get done this Spring.
Since 2018 surprised me in so many wonderful ways, I hope that will continue in 2019 and so I am leaving myself open to life's wonderful surprises. What are your plans for 2019?
Happy 2019 to your and yours!!!
