Trying to Feel Useful

I spent yesterday making these masks for some of the nurses I know. Yes, they deserve better, but for now they agreed that this was better than not having anything. So, I picked up some batik fabric and got to work. They are easy to make and don’t cost very much... just tight-weaved cotton and elastic. They have to be 4 layers of fabric thick. Pattern... I changed the elastic to a thinner one for better fit and comfort. I made 34 masks from 5 yards of fabric. https://buttoncounter.com/2018/01/14/facemask-a-picture-tutorial/

Some more fabric and elastic has been ordered and I will make some more when it gets here.

Meanwhile, my studio needs preparing for recording and a camera is on its way to make better quality recording. Wish me luck. I hear that you have to show your face and I'm not ready for that. I was planning on just making it so you saw what I was doing. Oh oh.

I wish you and your family good health.

SD hugs,

Carolina
