Oh, as far as paintings go, it's been experimenting time. This little painting of Marie Antoinette's cup "Pearls and Cornflowers" by Limoges. A sweet collector and I had discussed my fascination with Marie Antoinette and recently the host of Chateau Diaries mentioned this tea set made for the queen and the story behind all the elements of its design. Well, needless to say I was hooked and now dream of owning a bit of the lovely tea set.
As you know, most vessels that I paint are part of my collection, but this was from a photo a collector shared with me. Thank you, Lynda.I just added a rose to it and made up the background to resemble Rococo painting. It was lots of fun and I'm looking forward to doing more.
There is now an introduction video up on my YouTube channel. It was meant for me to tell of what my intent was for doing the channel, a little bit of about my method of painting is, and explain my choice of materials.
Even after several times, I kept messing up and forgetting something or saying "uhm" four times in a row. So, I finally got frustrated and just posted it anyways. It will have to come down soon because it is just a mess. I still hope you watch it and let me know what you think. Good or bad, I'd like to hear it so that I am not repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Please click here to view. And I would appreciate it so very much if you would please subscribe and share it others.
I have also been working on updating my site. Since I rushed to do it the first time (as I often jump head first into most "brilliant" ideas that pop into my head), there were a lot of mistakes that make the website slow. Plus, I would really like to update the look of it. I'm looking forward to sharing that with you.
Oh, I have treated myself to an order of roses from Grace Rose Farms. It's been something I've wanted for a while and they had a wonderful sale (which I believe they still might), so I took advantage of it. Several paintings should come of it and at least one that will end up as a demo on the channel.
Oh, this is just a lot of rambling on and on. It must be isolation or something.
All the best to you and yours.
